KIDS GAMES CAMP:
WHO WE ARE
Kids Games Camp was established in 2004 by a group of volunteers who are united under the ministry of Kasr El-Dobara Evangelical Church. We are called with the vision of bringing about change in youth by implementing devout values in their daily lives. We believe and live what we teach. We have positively influenced youth, impacted families, and transformed communities since 2004.
VISION
Community transformation in Egypt by implementing life values in kids and their families through sports and activities.
MISSION
Developing dynamic effective leaders through life-changing experiences, Godly relationships, and role modeling.
VALUES
1- I’M THIRD
It is the thing about us. We first and foremost put following God first, serving people second and we humbly come last. Life just works better this way.
2- TEAMWORK
We work together with campers through games and challenges that encourage them to support and encourage one another. We believe what we teach them— a team stands together, and by helping each other a challenge is overcome.
3- FUN
We value fun! This is the spirit and theme throughout the camp. Campers will experience THE FUN of a kind.
4- INTEGRITY
Integrity refers to having a strong moral character and following a set of values. We try to teach by showing campers how to do the right thing even when no one is watching.
5- POSITIVITY
We teach our campers that looking at things through a positive lens helps them shift their views on challenges drastically, therefore react to life’s hurdles differently.
Camp and Ignite Theme:
BeFree. “The truth sets free”
The name “BeFree” was inspired by the “BeReal” application, which encourages people to be authentic and genuine in all aspects of their lives. We believe that the name “BeFree” will resonate with campers in a way that will make it a truly memorable experience. It’s a name that is both powerful and empowering, and it will serve as a constant reminder to campers to break free from the limitations they may feel and embrace their true potential.
We believe that by connecting with our true selves, we can live more fulfilling and joyful lives, and inspire others to do the same. “BeFree” camp will make campers experience the power of being real and free!
Ignite Direction:
Ignite ’23 aims to create an engaging and immersive environment, highlighting and deepening the camper-counselor relationship and focusing on learning through experience and example.
This year’s theme is inspired by the current debate surrounding the true meaning of freedom and how to achieve it. We were inspired by the imagery of the teal-colored fish in The Chosen, representing the unique yet disciplined unity of Jesus’ disciples. We saw true freedom in their ability to express their individuality while freely choosing to be disciples and work in unity.
Our goal is to address the balance between being free to express our limitless potential and remaining grounded, united, and discerning. We want to explore the meaning of freedom in a world where it has been confused with compulsive behaviors with no discernment and direction. Freedom is a complex bitter-sweet concept, and we strive to uncover its true essence and how it can be truly achieved and used for growth in different areas in life.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.” (1 Corinthians 10:23-24 ).
